Hon. Reed C. O'Connor

Filing Date: July 18, 2024

According to the Complaint, American Airlines Group Inc., through wholly-owned subsidiaries and third-party regional carriers under the American Eagle banner, operates as a network air carrier, providing scheduled air transportation passenger and cargo services throughout the US and in various other countries around the world.

The Complaint alleges that during the Class Period, Defendants made overwhelmingly positive statements to investors regarding American’s new sales and distribution strategy to reduce internal expenses while simultaneously driving a significant demand increase for the Company’s airline services. The Complaint further alleges that these statements misrepresented the true state of American, and that the Company was simultaneously concealing material adverse facts including, notably, that the Company’s sales and distribution strategy was not driving the revenue projected.

On November 22, 2024, the Court issued an Order consolidating cases and appointing Co-Lead Plaintiffs and Counsel. All future docketing was ordered to be done in the lead case 24-CV-00673.

Lead Plaintiffs filed a consolidated Complaint on January 21, 2025. On March 19, Lead Plaintiffs filed an amended consolidated Complaint. Defendants filed a Motion to Dismiss the amended consolidated Complaint on March 21.
