Current/Last Presiding Judge:
Hon. Victor A. Bolden

Filing Date: August 03, 2023

According to the Complaint, RTX Corporation (f/k/a Raytheon Technologies Corporation) purports to be “an aerospace and defense company that provides advanced systems and services for commercial, military and government customers worldwide.” RTX has four principal business segments: Collins Aerospace, Pratt & Whitney, Raytheon Intelligence & Space, and Raytheon Missiles and Defense. Pertinent to this action is Pratt & Whitney, which produces the PW1000G Geared Turbofan ("GTF") engine family.

The Complaint alleges that Defendants throughout the Class Period made false and/or misleading statements and/or failed to disclose, among other things, that: (1) GTF engines had been affected from at least 2015-2020 by a quality control issue; (2) this quality control issue would require RTX to recall and reinspect many of its GTF engines, affecting customers and harming its business; and (3) as a result, Defendants’ statements about its business, operations, and prospects were materially false and misleading and/or lacked a reasonable basis at all relevant times.

On December 21, 2023, the Court issued an Order consolidating cases. All future docketing was ordered to be done in the lead case 23-CV-01035.

On May 2, 2024, the Court issued an Order appointing Lead Plaintiff and Counsel. Lead Plaintiff filed an amended consolidated Complaint on July 23.
