According to the Complaint, SelectQuote, Inc. is a direct-to-consumer distribution platform that offers complex senior health, life, and auto & home insurance policies from a curated panel of insurance carriers.
The Complaint alleges that throughout the Class Period, Defendants made materially false and/or misleading statements, as well as failed to disclose material adverse facts about the Company’s business, operations, and prospects. Specifically, the Complaint alleges Defendants made material misrepresentations concerning the following: (1) that SelectQuote’s 2019 cohort was underperforming; (2) that, as a result, the Company’s financial results would be adversely impacted; and (3) that, as a result of the foregoing, Defendants’ positive statements about the Company’s business, operations, and prospects were materially misleading and/or lacked a reasonable basis.
On September 2, 2022, the Court issued an Order consolidating cases and appointing Lead Plaintiffs and Counsel. All future docketing was ordered to be done in the lead case 21-CV-06903.
Lead Plaintiffs filed an Amended Complaint on November 19, 2022. Defendants filed a Motion to Dismiss the Amended Complaint on January 27, 2023.
On April 1, 2024, the Court issued an Order granting Defendants' Motion to Dismiss. Plaintiffs were given leave to amend the Complaint. Lead Plaintiffs filed a second Amended Complaint on May 31.
On July 31, 2024, the Defendants filed a Motion to dismiss the second Amended Complaint. This Motion was granted by the Court on April 3, 2025 and this case was ordered to be closed. The Clerk of Court entered Judgment on April 4.
Lead Plaintiffs filed a notice appealing the Court's Dismissal Order on May 5, 2025.
