According to the Complaint, Campbell Soup Company (“Campbell” or the “Company”) is a global food company that sells soups, packaged meals, beverages, snacks, and packaged fresh foods.

The Complaint alleges that, throughout the Class Period, Defendants made materially false and/or misleading statements, as well as failed to disclose material adverse facts about the Company’s business, operations, and prospects. Specifically: (i) Defendants failed to disclose known trends that were negatively impacting the profitability of the Campbell Fresh division; and (ii) as a result of the foregoing, Defendants’ positive statements about the Company’s and the Campbell Fresh division’s business, operations, and prospects were materially false and/or misleading and/or lacked a reasonable basis.

On January 8, 2019, the Court issued an Order consolidating cases and appointing Lead Plaintiff and Counsel. All future docketing was ordered to be done in the lead case 18-CV-14385.

Lead Plaintiff filed an amended consolidated Complaint on March 1, 2019. Defendants filed a Motion to Dismiss the amended consolidated Complaint on April 30. On November 30, 2020, the Court issued an Order granting Defendants' Motion to Dismiss. Lead Plaintiff was given leave to amend the Complaint.

On January 15, 2021, Lead Plaintiff filed a second amended consolidated Complaint. Defendants filed a Motion to Dismiss the second amended consolidated Complaint on March 10. On October 12, 2022, the Court issued an Order granting Defendants' Motion to Dismiss. The case was dismissed with prejudice.
