Warren Resources, Inc. is an oil and natural gas exploration and production company with operations located in the Los Angeles Basin of California.

According to the law firm press release, the lawsuit alleges that certain of Warren Resources' executive officers violated Sections 10(b) and 20(a) of the Securities Exchange Act by making materially misleading misrepresentations and omissions that the Company was "well positioned" to "ride out" and "successfully navigate" the "market fluctuations," when, in fact, Warren Resources was becoming increasingly insolvent. Warren Resources filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on June 2, 2016.

On April 6, 2017, the Court issued an Order appointing Lead Plaintiffs and Lead Counsel. This case was voluntarily dismissed on May 22.
