According to the law firm press release, E*TRADE Financial Corporation ("E*TRADE") provides online brokerage services to retail investors, and the Complaint alleges that Defendants made materially false and misleading statements and/or omitted adverse facts about its routing practices for its clients’ orders.

On November 9, 2016, the Court appointed Lead Plaintiff and Counsel. Lead Plaintiff filed an amended Complaint on December 12.

A second amended Complaint was filed on February 10, 2017. On July 10, 2017, the Court granted Defendants' motion to dismiss without prejudice.

A third amended Complaint was filed on August 9, 2017. On August 30, Defendants filed a Motion to Dismiss the third amended Complaint. On January 22, 2018, the Court issued an Order granting the Motion to Dismiss and closing the case. Lead Plaintiff filed a Notice appealing this decision on February 15. On November 16, the Court of Appeals affirmed the judgment of the District Court.
