Affymetrix, Inc. develops technology for acquiring, analyzing, and managing complex genetic information for use in the biomedical field.

According to the Complaint, it is alleged that the consideration Affymetrix’s stockholders stand to receive in connection with the Proposed Transaction and the process by which Defendants propose to consummate the Proposed Transaction are fundamentally unfair to Plaintiff and the other common stockholders of Affymetrix.

The parties filed a Stipulation of Settlement on July 29, 2016. The Settlement was preliminarily approved on September 21. The Settlement was granted final approval and this case was dismissed on December 27.
