Intermix Media Inc. is an internet marketing company based in Los Angeles, California.

This shareholder class action was filed against the Defendants arising out of an alleged unfair sale of MySpace to the News Corporation. The shareholders disputed the true value MySpace with the officers and directors and felt the sale underpriced.

According the Consolidated Second Amended Complaint, the Company’s public stockholders suffered billions of dollars in damages as a result of Defendants’ preparation and dissemination of false and misleading proxy statements in violation of federal law and breaches of fiduciary duty in connection with the Acquisition.

On September 19, 2006, the Court issued an Order appointing lead Plaintiff and Counsel. Lead Plaintiff filed an amended Complaint on September 27. On July 11, 2007, lead Plaintiff filed a consolidated amended Complaint. On February 8, 2008, lead Plaintiff filed a second amended consolidated Complaint.

The parties entered into a Stipulation of Settlement on December 23, 2010. The Court granted preliminary approval of the Settlement on February 17, 2011. On March 19, 2012, the Court granted final approval of the Settlement and entered Final Judgment.
