Hard Rock Hotel San Diego ("HRHSD") is a high-end hotel in San Diego, California.

According to the allegations of the Complaint filed December 08, 2009, the HRHSD promoters sold investment contracts to investors without registering the investment agreements with the US Securities & Exchange Commission or qualifying them with the California Department of Corporations, in violation of federal and state investor protection laws.

On April 29, 2010, a Transfer Order transferred from the calendar a listing of cases from one judge to another, thus vacating all further proceedings.

On May 12, 2010, a similar Order transferred all remaining Cases excluded from the earlier order.

On June 18, 2010, an Amendment to Complaint to Substitute True Names for "Doe" Defendants was filed with the Court.

On August 23, 2010, an Order Granting Plaintiff's Motion to Remand and Denying Playground Destination Properties' Motion to Consolidate was issued by the Court.

August 24, 2010, Order Granting Playground Destination Properties’ Motion to Dismiss Plaintiffs’ First Amended Complaint was issued by the Court.

On September 10, 2010, a Second Amended Complaint was filed by the lead Plaintiffs against the Defendants.

On March 22, 2011, the Plaintiffs' Second Amended Complaint was dismissed with prejudice and Plaintiffs were denied leave to amend.

On March 23, 2011, the Plaintiffs appeal to the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit from the final judgment of the District Court entered in this case on March 23, 2011.

On April 5, 2011, a Motion for Attorney’s Fees and Costs was filed by the attorneys of the Defendants.
