According to the Complaint, The RealReal, Inc. describes itself as the world’s largest online marketplace for authenticated, consigned luxury goods.

This is a federal securities class action on behalf of all persons and entities, other than Defendants, who purchased RealReal common stock pursuant and/or traceable to the Company’s Registration Statement issued in connection with the Company’s June 27, 2019 initial public offering, seeking to recover compensable damages caused by Defendants’ violations of the Securities Act of 1933.

On February 12, 2020, the Court issued an Order appointing Lead Plaintiff and Counsel. Lead Plaintiff filed an amended Complaint on March 31. Defendants filed a Motion to Dismiss the amended Complaint on May 15. On March 31, 2021, the Court issued an Order granting in part and denying in part Defendants' Motion to Dismiss.

Lead Plaintiff filed a second amended Complaint on April 30. Defendants filed a Motion to Dismiss the second amended Complaint on June 14. On July 28, the parties stipulated to an Order staying motion deadlines and the Court granted the Order. The parties agreed to file a Motion for preliminary approval of a Settlement within 60 days. On August 6, the Clerk of Court terminated the Motion to Dismiss pursuant to the Court's Order of July 28, 2021.

The parties entered into a Stipulation of Settlement on November 5, 2021. On March 27, 2022, the Court granted preliminary approval of the Settlement. On July 28, the Court granted final approval of the Settlement, including an award of Attorneys’ Fees and Expenses, and entered Final Judgment.

On June 8, 2023, the Court issued an Order authorizing distribution of the Settlement funds.
