EXCERPT: A federal judge on Friday awarded $56.7 million in attorneys fees to Kessler Topaz Meltzer & Check LLP and Bernstein Litowitz Berger & Grossmann LLP — nearly a third less than they’d sought — for winning settlements for Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. investors last year. The firms had asked U.S. District Judge Lewis A. Kaplan for $82.6 million, or 16 percent of a $516 million combined settlement, but the judge said he would award less because they were aided by the “extraordinary” report of a bankruptcy...
