Imax Corp., PwC Canada Lose Motions To Dismiss

EXCERPT: A judge has rejected motions from entertainment technology company Imax Corp. and the Canadian arm of PricewaterhouseCoopers International Ltd. that asked the court to throw out a consolidated putative class action securities complaint over allegedly false and misleading statements regarding Imax's accounting of theater system revenue. U.S. District Judge Naomi Reice Buchwald signed off on a 30-page memorandum and order on Monday denying separate motions to dismiss that were filed by Imax and PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP — an Ontario limited liability partnership — in December 2007. … The case is In Re Imax Corp. Securities Litigation, case number 06-6128, in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
