PLC Systems Announces Pending Settlement of Securities Class Action Lawsuit, U.S. District Court of Massachusetts Schedules Hearing for February 7, 2001

Excerpt: "PLC Systems Inc. (Amex: PLC), today announced that a final settlement will be held in the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts on February 7, 2001 to review a proposed settlement related to the securities class action litigation against the company.

The principal financial terms of the proposed settlement agreement call for payment to the plaintiffs, for the benefit of the class, of a total of $1.5 million. PLC Systems' insurance carriers will fund the entire $1.5 million settlement."
