BT Office Products International, Inc. Conclusion: According to the closing order of March 1997, the class reached a settlement with BT Office Products International, Inc. under which the company agreed to pay $1,480,000 to the class.

The complaint originally alleged that the company was or should had been aware of the reporting irregularities a month before they were announced, and that the company's 10Q, MD&A and certain press releases were false and misleading with respect to revenues, sales, earnings, inventory, financial statements and risks inherent in the company's acquisition strategy. Based on these allegations, the complaint asserted violations of section 10(b) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and Rule 10b-5 promulgated thereunder.
